Circle Myth is Jean’s first full-length solo album, made in collaboration with Jay Reynolds of 4Track All-Stars. The album traverses unique and original soundscapes and moods, offering glimpses into new ways of hearing and experiencing the cello. All tracks were written and crafted by Jean and Jay and the album was recorded by Jay. sonic body offers a glimpse into Jean’s experience as she traversed new internal terrain along her healing journey, using the sound of cello, her voice, and bells as healing sound processing tools. It is available for listening here on bandcamp.

The Last Minute is the First Minute is the debut release by Bellaceo, an electro-instrumental duo consisting of Jean Gay (Alya Ensemble) and Jay Reynolds (Asleep At The Wheel, Bootsy Collins). Conceived while they were finishing Jean’s solo cello album Circle Myth, this project was literally a series of last minute recording sessions intended to document as many performances as possible before a relocation saw Jean and Jay living in different cities. Ten improvisations for synthesizer and cello were captured within a handful of days and later revised into more concise arrangements, or in some cases not. Visit this page for more on the album.
